It all started with a box of film...

As a young man working at a yacht chandlers, I was approached by a salesman asking if we would stock his 35mm film. There was something aesthetically pleasing about the packaging. In order to use the film, I needed a camera and bought a Russian 35mm SLR. I had no idea then that it would be the beginning of a joyful addiction.

And so, over 30 years later, I have bridged the gap between amateur and professional photographer. I am doing what I love and I hope it shows in my photography. I am encouraged, always, by my wife, Martha, a creative American ex-pat. She has been my biggest supporter and I know that this website wouldn't exist without her.

We make our home in Scotland and it is this beautiful country that draws me - photographing everything from rusty gates to hidden caves. It is my sincerest hope that what I do is pleasing to the eye and uplifting to the soul.
